The Basic Working Principle of AGC. System

 

The basic working principle of the hydraulic automatic gauge control system is based on closed-loop control theory. During the process of strip steel rolling, the system collects key parameters such as thickness, rolling force, and roll gap of the strip steel in real time through various sensors installed on the rolling mill. These sensors convert the collected signals into electrical signals and transmit them to the core of the control system, which is the controller.

On the contrary, when the thickness of the strip steel is less than the target value, the controller will instruct to increase the roll gap and decrease the rolling pressure.

 

AGC System: Closed Loop Control of Roller Gap Position (APC)

 

The closed-loop control of roll gap position is one of the key technologies of hydraulic automatic gauge control system. It monitors the position of the rolling mill in real-time through high-precision displacement sensors and feeds back the actual roll gap value to the controller. The controller precisely controls the hydraulic actuator based on the preset target value of the roller gap, achieving precise adjustment of the roller gap.

 

During the rolling process of the سیستم AGC, the roll gap may change due to factors such as roll wear, temperature changes, and fluctuations in rolling force. The APC system can detect these changes in a timely manner and quickly adjust the hydraulic actuator to maintain the roll gap at the set value.
