However, the metal processing sector often struggles with outdated manual machinery that lacks a sophisticated automatic gauge control system, leading to inconsistencies in sheet thickness and high material waste.
The local climate, characterized by high humidity in various regions, necessitates equipment with superior corrosion resistance and robust thermal stability. Most Rwandan workshops currently rely on basic rolling methods, which limit their ability to produce high-value specialty steels required for the growing construction and automotive repair sectors.
With the government's push for "Made in Rwanda," there is an urgent demand for specialized equipment like the cladding rolling mill to produce composite materials that can withstand the unique environmental stressors of the Great Lakes region.
